Professional Experience
With a background in church, academic, and social settings, I bring a broad range of experience in practical theology, Pentecostal studies, women in ministry, and Pentecostal spirituality. My work focuses on topics like women in the Pentecostal tradition, the role of worship in public and social life, and how spirituality shapes our communities. Over the years, I’ve contributed through teaching, research, writing, and speaking, and I’ve received awards for research on migration and worship. I’ve also been involved with various church and parachurch organizations, always with the aim of sparking meaningful conversations and advancing understanding. I’m passionate about exploring how Christianity interacts with and influences social spaces.
I am an adjunct professor at Vanguard University of Southern California and a visiting lecturer at London School of Theology.
I serve on the executive committee of the Society for Pentecostal Studies, an "international community of scholars working within the Pentecostal and Charismatic traditions."
I am a member of the Advisory board for the Center for Global Pentecostal Studies and Practice at Life Pacific University.
I also sit on the Board of Trustees for Pentecost Biblical Seminary.

Girls Dream Big
Partner TODAY Change a Girl's Life Tomorrow

One of the rewards of our ten years serving as mission partners in Ghana was the Nyame Bekyere Christian School. Last year when I visited, I was moved to focus on the the girls. The girls pictured are pupils at our school. The reality is that for many girls like these this may be the end of their education journey. Some will become teenage mothers, others will end up in dead end relationships, others will continue in a cycle of poverty. I can't help every girl but I know I can make a difference to some. I will travel to Ghana in June, where I will continue the program which challenges 10, 11 and 12 year old girls Dream Big.
